In the Plaza San Bernabé, also known as the Plaza de la Iglesia, is the statue of San Bernabé, the Patron of the city of Marbella and perpetual Mayor. This statue was made by the Toledo sculptor Amador Braojos. The square is near the Plaza de los Naranjos and houses the remains of the Medina wall, which date back to the Umayyad era of the 10th century. 😊

The popular festival "Feria de San Bernabé", in honor of the patron saint of Marbella, always takes place in the week in which June 11th falls. The fiesta commemorates the reconquest of the city by the Catholic Monarchs in 1485.
