The only preserved city gate of Gryfino. The city had three gates: Szczecinska from the north, Bańska from the south and Mostowa from the west. The Banska Gate was built in the 14th century from field stone, and in the 15th century it was added with brick. At the end of the fifteenth or the beginning of the sixteenth century, the gate tower was superstructured with a cylindrical, two-story turret. In the 19th century, the gate was supposed to be demolished, but thanks to its recognition as a monument in 1864, it remained intact.
