The oldest preserved mention of the Szczodrów church dates back to the end of the 16th century. In 1583, a priest visiting the parish. Sebastian Liwierski wrote about the temple: "The wooden church needs a roof, dedicated to Szymon and Tadeusz Juda: The consecrated cemetery is well fenced and has four fields."
