Among the beauties to be seen in the town, we can also include the chapel of Santa Crescenzia. The graceful square-plan building was built in the 13th century in honor of San Vito's nurse, Santa Crescenzia, of whom it is said that she died in the place where the chapel of the same name stands today.
The structure was built by the Arabs but boasts influences from various ethnic groups: we can in fact notice elements that refer to the Gothic and Norman cultures.

Located almost at the entrance to the town of San Vito lo Capo, this small chapel built by the people of Erice in honor of Santa Crescenzia, boasts great popular devotion, standing in a particularly evocative place linked to the history of the town of San Vito
In fact, the small newsstand recalls the place where a landslide stopped, thus sparing the town.
According to an ancient popular belief, throwing a stone into the newsstand serves to make "lu scantu" (the fear) due to an avoided misfortune go away.
