A large temple complex with an impressive pagoda visible from afar. It is off the main road, but worth stopping by when cycling in the area.

The temple was initially built during the Tang Dynasty (approx. 600 to 900). The legend has it that in the later Qing Dynasty the emperor Qianlong lodged in this temple.
Over the centuries the temple has been damaged and destroyed several times. Most of the buildings have also been demolished during China’s Great Leap Forward in the 1950s. Starting in the mid 90s the temple was rebuilt and enlarged in the process.
