Next to the Town Hall, a small park houses the remains of the oldest Vaprio. The archaeological excavations that took place in 1985 revealed finds from three different eras: the foundations of a large wall from the Roman or late ancient period, part of the base of the apse of what was the church dedicated to St. Paul between the 12th and 15th centuries and the remains of the perimeter walls of the church of S. Bernardino, built at the end of the 15th century and demolished in 1790.
