So many times you've driven through Wasungen on the main street and didn't know anything about the alleys and half-timbered houses right next to it!! The city walls and the old courtyards are worth seeing and worth a trip. It's best to take a city tour (registration at the women's monastery) starting at the women's monastery including a visit to it. The motivated city guide had many historical stories to tell about local life - we have rarely had such a lively tour. Thanks!!
