In a rural and peaceful location, Makerstoun Kirk dates back to 1808. In the churchyard, you will find a pedestal with a sundial, which was gifted by General Sir Thomas Makdougall Brisbane, once Governor General of New South Wales.
A bench is provided near the churchyard, which is a great place to rest on.
