This tiny, pristine lake is set like a sparkling jewel in the wild valley below Pointe du Dard and the Grand Mont. The lake is just off the main trail, but a small path leads to its shores and it's well worth a detour to soak up the magical atmosphere.
The gorge to the west offers enjoyable, scrambly running through exciting, rocky terrain. Keep an eye out for mouflons (big, wild sheep) and ibex as you go.
