Vandring
The amphitheater was built around the year 50 AD. C. and has the shape of a semicircle. It was dug into the mountainside and enjoyed fantastic acoustics. It was the subject of countless lootings and was used as a quarry for the construction of the castle and numerous houses in the historic center. It suffered the most damage during the Revolutionary War. It is currently still in use and is used to stage plays. Today it is one of the city's landmarks and an essential visit in Sagunto.

Vandring
The Spanish converted the old Roman amphitheater into a new theater and more or less destroyed the old theater. It's a shame what happened to a 2,000-year-old monument.
