Built in 1825 by Prince Johann I von and zu Liechtenstein.
During a renovation in 1957, the Christophorus mosaic was added to the left side panel. The chapel is not accessible. It consists of three adjacent arched niches, behind whose latticed gates are statues of Christ and the four evangelists. Originally there were three wooden crosses at this place.
They were called "holiday crosses" because the pilgrims pilgrimage on the "Via Sacra" from Vienna to Mariazell could take a last look at the Viennese city from there. Then they took "leave" from their hometown.
