The path to Eltz Castle leads through the romantic Elz Valley.
The Elz meanders in large loops. It is sometimes wider, sometimes narrower, sometimes stormier with small mini rapids, sometimes lower to the path or higher.
The hiking trail that leads through the Elztal sometimes changes sides over the stream/river. It is sometimes a rocky path, sometimes a root path, sometimes a hollow path between rocks, sometimes wider, sometimes more mossy, sometimes more overgrown.

After there is so much hustle and bustle at Eltz Castle, you are happy to be able to go hiking again in the beautiful Elz Valley. There are plenty of paths around the castle, so the crowds get lost quickly.
