Useful passage if you want to enjoy a beautiful view but uncomfortable, if not dangerous if you have bulky backpacks, due to some steep passages between the rocks.

This area is called the Open Book, and that's exactly what these mountains look like when viewed from both the north and south. Between the two main peaks, the nearby Monte Belvedere (at 1,896 meters above sea level) and this one, Monte Rotondo (at 1,937 meters above sea level), there is a summit plain that simply resembles the pages of a half-open book.
The view from here is simply breathtaking. The rugged landscape in the distance is beautiful.
