Człuchów fortification consisted of the proper castle called "High" and outer baileys: western, northern, eastern. The castle was surrounded by massive stone and brick walls and during its heyday it had 11 gates and 9 towers (only fragments of the outer bailey walls, the wall surrounding the castle courtyard and trace fragments of two towers - at the Louise Gate and the Witches Tower) have survived to our times. The castle also had an extensive system of moats, drawbridges and three types of dungeons, serving as a prison in the Teutonic times.

It is worth going around the fortifications that testify to the size of this Castle. There are designated paths for pedestrians and cyclists
