The result of the Marian apparition at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries was the construction of a small chapel at the site of the miracle and the placement of the miraculous image of the Virgin Mary with Child inside it. In 1763, Countess Izabela Małachowska of the Humieniecka family founded a church, which in 1919 became a parish church. In 1971, Bishop Piotr Gołębiowski of the Sandomierz Diocese entrusted the care of the sanctuary to the Pallottine priests.
