Bjergvandring
The mountain hut, 1450 m high, offers itself as the first base for a Fagaraskamm crossing. Ioanna speaks excellent German and lovingly runs the hut. For the history of the hut, see: observatorulph.ro/exclusiv/105709-familia-popa-a-transformat-un-grajd-intr-o-locatie-demna-de-muntii-elvetiei-cum -arata-cabana-suru-din-muntii-fagaras

I cannot recommend enough Cabana Suru. Good food, lovely people.
A few useful info:
- there are several rooms with 7+ beds
- running water and toilets available inside
- shower available for a fee
- weak GSM signal in the area, it depends on your carrier
- make sure you have cash on you
