Byggeår: kapellet blev bygget i 1946. Den første sten blev lagt den 15. maj, og kapellet blev højtideligt indviet den 23. juni 1946.
Anledning: beboere i nabolaget Bootdijk oprettede bedehuset af taknemmelighed. Kvarteret blev skånet for store katastrofer under Anden Verdenskrig, og ingen fra gaden omkom. Desuden tjente kapellet som en bøn om at beskytte nabolaget mod vedvarende vandmasser.
Kapellets kendetegn.
Arkitektur: det er et hvidmalet, rektangulært vejkapel i mursten, designet af Hamme-arkitekten Leon Van Hove.
Tårn: på skifertaget står et iøjnefaldende firkantet klokketårn med et smedejernskors.
