The Mesto de Santa Quiteria, one of the most unique trees in Castilla-La Mancha.
The Mesto is a natural hybrid tree between the holm oak (Quercus ilex) and the cork oak (Quercus suber), scientifically known as Quercus × morisii.
It stands out for its monumental appearance:
Approximate height: 17-20 meters.
Trunk circumference: more than 5 meters.
It is considered a unique tree and presumably thousands of years old, although the most reliable estimates place it at several centuries old.

The Mesto is a hybrid or mixture (hence its name) between holm oak and cork oak. This specimen from Santa Quiteria is one of the largest in the province of Ciudad Real, with a trunk perimeter of more than five meters and a height of about eighteen.
