Villafrechós is a town belonging to the Tierra de Campos region of Valladolid. It has a long history and in the town the Monastery of Santa Clara (founded at the beginning of the 15th century), the Church of San Cristóbal and the Hermitage of the Virgen del Cabo stand out.
Its gastronomic jewel are the famous caramelized almonds, receiving important awards since the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1888.
As a curiosity, the paternal grandfather of Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon, was born in the town.
