The Palais du Rhin (Rhine Palace) was built in 1884 to 1889 and was the former imperial palace and is considered German monumental architecture. The Palais is one of the most striking buildings in Strasbourg. The reason for the construction was the 87th birthday of Kaiser Wilhelm1. on March 22, 1884.
