Vandring

Arriving at Fort Pramand, we take another bend, less than a minute to reach the summit of Mount Pramand, where the view sweeps over the Susa valley, in particular in the underlying villages of Oulx and Sauze. We are on the roof of the fort, and there are 4 large holes, which seem to have been built as housing for the guns, some still with the protective fence

Fort Pramand was the last fort to be built in the Bardonecchia basin (it came into operation in 1905) and, thanks to this, it was equipped with some better innovative features than the other older forts in the area (Fort Bramafam and Fort Foens). It was also and can be reached by motorized vehicles via the Fenil - Pramand - Föens - Jafferau military road which connected it to the valley floor and to the other forts in the basin.
