In the middle of the 19th century the Hotel zum Weißen Schwan, then Hotel de Russie - the facade was reconstructed, everything inside is new (but nice 🤗).

It is noteworthy that from 1852 Heinrich Schliemann was briefly the owner of the "White Swan" warehouse (today's National Hotel), which was located across the street and was probably the origin of the hotel.
Schliemann was a famous German buyer, millionaire and archaeologist. Schliemann became famous worldwide in 1868 by discovering and studying the historical sites of Troy and Mycenae. It is assumed that Schliemann also stayed at the hotel.
