The civic or clock tower, in concrete and iron, was designed in 1987 by Alessandro Mendini, famous Milanese architect and designer, founder with his brother, in 1989, of the Mendini atelier where he continues to work. The tower is the fulcrum of the Town Hall Square and its vertical focal axis. About ten meters high, it is made up of two half-cones from which two characteristic colored "wings" emerge, which enliven it. Four times a day, time is marked by sounds that are never the same, created by computer-processed Sicilian folk songs, at 6.00,8.00,12.00,17.00, 20.00
