    The Zamboni Zappa refuge is located at an altitude of 2,070 metres, in the suggestive grassy basin of Alpe Pedriola, at the foot of the east face of Monte Rosa. The Alpe Pedriola pasture appears on maps since 999 and is still used as a pasture and during the summer months you can hear the cows grazing with bells around their necks.

    The refuge offers typical mountain home cooking, with local products such as cured meats, cheeses, polenta and Macugnaghese pasta, accompanied by delicious Piedmontese wines.
