The Ala Archa National Park is approx. 1 hour's drive south of Bishkek (approx. 40 km) and is an approx. 200 km² high mountain park located in the Kyrgyz Alatau, a sub-mountain of the Tienshan. A small fee has to be paid at the national park entrance and then you can start.
It is about 11 km to the alpine camp, where the actual starting point for all hikes is. It is best to go in by taxi 700 som (7 €) car fee and from Bishkek taxi costs about 1200 som (12 €) 2023
