Cykling
Between Newhaven and Seaford is the Ouse Estuary Nature Reserve which is home to a wide variety of birds, insects, plants and amphibians including the internationally protected Great Crested Newt.
Cutting across the nature reserve is an excellent tarmac traffic-free cycle path which is part of National Cycle Network route 2. The scenic trail is an excellent alternative to the busy A259, which runs alongside it.

Cykling
It is a paved bike path in very good condition. It runs parallel to the road, separating it by vegetation. There is a bench to rest and information panels on the fauna of the place.
