The village, consisting of several noble families, got back its historical name Svätá Maria after 1989, Pavlove forms its district. The inhabitants mainly devoted themselves to agriculture, the cultivation of vines and fruit trees, especially plums, which in some form continues to this day. The Petence pond is located in the hamlet of the village. It occupies an area of 8 ha, the average water depth is 2 m. Admission is chargeable. A total of 16 jetties are available to fishermen, and there is also the possibility of renting fishing equipment.
