The Leviathan is a sculpture by Brian Fell, an artist and metalworker who specializes in large steel sculptures for public spaces. The sculpture was unveiled in 1996 on the West Pier in Plymouth, a city in the southwest of England. The sculpture depicts a sea monster composed of various types of sea and shellfish that are brought in on the Barbican. It has the legs of a cormorant, the tail of a plesiosaur, the fin of a John Dory, the claws of a lobster, the head of a cod, and the shells of a scallop and mussel.
