Vandring
The monument is reminiscent of the coach as a simple means of transport in front of the railway. It was inaugurated in 1952 and is the work of the architect José Belloni.

Belloni has made a monument to immigrants here. It actually gives the impression of the agony and effort that the settlement brought with it.
Cast bronze, very finely worked. You can see every detail.

Vandring
The monument commemorates the carriage that carried passengers before the railroad and other modes of transport came along, and depicts the hardships of the first immigrants to the country. Inaugurated on February 22, 1952, it is the work of Uruguayan sculptor José Belloni. La Diligencia (the stagecoach) and the Monumento a La Carreta (in Batlle Park) are two of Belloni's most important works.
