The Langepoort in Brielle is a historic gate that used to serve as a gateway to the city. It is one of the remaining city gates of Brielle and has played an important role in the history of the city. The gate dates from the 17th century and is a reminder of the time when Brielle was an important fortified city. Nowadays, the Langepoort is one of the striking sights of Brielle, where you can experience the rich history of the city. It is a nice place to stop during your bike ride.

The Langepoort was built in 1704-'05 and was renovated in 1799. Of the four 18th-century gates in Brielle, only the Langepoort and the Kaaipoort have been preserved.
