The Ließen Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1923.
The hose tower and fire brigade training tower is often a distinctive sign of a fire station or fire station. It is mainly used to dry pressure hoses after operations and exercises. This was particularly important when hoses were still made from hemp. With hoses made of synthetic fibers used today, this procedure is no longer absolutely necessary, but it still makes sense, because the storage spaces should also be kept mold-free during longer storage.
