Spa_adonis is right: do not follow the road sign at the end of the airport, when you come from Preveza towards Lefkada.
Turn right at the road just after the airport, pass the entrance of a "military complex", with an army aircraft exposed, and follow that road until it starts going uphill.
Don't go uphill! Turn right, there is a mini downhill and the road leads to the sea through orchards of olive trees and then to "Ag.Nikolaos" where you can bike on the main road towards Lefkada again.
