Description
This 1907 monument, the work of Ettore Ximenes from Palermo, was designed free of charge for the friendship that united the sculptor with Vittorio Bottego.
A large basin collects the water flowing from the monument, consisting of a high pedestal of boulders on which stands the bronze statue, facing east, of the Bottego in the uniform of an officer of the colonial troops. On the sides, the two Gallic warriors represent the rivers Juba and Omo.
