Mountainbiking
Another opportunity to get your feet well and truly soaking crossing the glorious River Barle. Best avoided after rainfall and saved for drier spells of weather.

Mountainbiking
A mammoth portage along the "permissive footpath" by the river. Think 'The Revenant' without the bear, and 'Deliverance' without the hillbillies.
Cross to the other side at the footbridge (SS859327), then recross at the ford (SS858338).
Although the ride by the river after the portage is lovely, take great care at the stepping stones (SS851350) to SouthHill and Wiveliscombe as they are slippery when wet, and you're wearing clip-in cycling shoes.
