The Trinity Church appeared in Markovo in 1860. The state allocated 6 thousand rubles in gold for its construction. Already in 1859, the foundation of the new future temple was laid on the highest place near the old wooden church. Six months later, the altar was consecrated in the name of the Holy Trinity. In 2015, the temple celebrated its 155th anniversary, and in honor of this event, a memorial sign was erected in the center of Markovo. The church is notable for the fact that for a century and a half, services have not ceased here.
