Mountainbiking

With the Via Claudia Augusta, the Romans created a road during the Roman Empire that connected the northern parts of Europe with the south across the Alps. This connection still exists today and you can also follow the culturally important connection by mountain bike.

Along the route you will repeatedly come across historical evidence that will bring you closer to the importance of the connecting road. Hundreds of years ago, the Via Claudia Augusta provided an opportunity for exchange between Romans, Etruscans, Veneti, Rhaetians and Celts.

Mountainbiking

This is the cycle route from Landeck to over the Kajetans Bridge towards Switzerland. Suitable for all types of bikes, for road bikes only short sections with light gravel, that should be OK. For transalpine riders with mountain bikes in bad weather this is probably the better option to Fließer Platte. I was quite impressed with the route, it is really beautiful and almost always away from traffic.
