The fountain, built by stones, symbolizes the flood disaster of 1953. Today, this sprayer brings life and coolness to the village square in front of the church.
The fountain was built at the time with money that was donated to reconstruction after the Disaster. It therefore has a special meaning for many residents of Stavenissen.
