Carcross is a railway station on the former railway line from the small town of Skagway, Alaska, on the Pacific Ocean's Chilkoot Inlet, over the White Pass to Whitehorse. The railway line was built in 1898 during the Gold Rush. Today the locomotive operates between Skagway, Alaska and Carcross, Yukon as a tourist attraction during the summer season.
