This is where the Elmpter Bach begins, which formed the border between the old communities of Elmpt and Niederkrüchten for centuries and that have been united to form one community of Niederkrüchten since the municipal reform. The tour follows the Elmpter Bach almost to its confluence with the Schwalm on the eastern, Niederkrüchtener side. This path along the stream has the character of a trail. Parallel to this path there is a paved cycle path on the western, Elmpter side, which is more pleasant to cycle and leaves the bike less dirty.
