Park Buffon is located above the actual city of Montbard. It is located in and around the Capetian castle that Georges-Louis Leclerc de Buffon acquired. The naturalist created a park with rare plant species here, which has remained almost unchanged to this day. In the park is the church of St-Urse (Église Saint Urse) which was built in the 13th-15th centuries. Century was built. The tomb of Georges-Louis Leclerc de Buffon is located in the chapel, which was added in the 18th century.
