Rabati Malik was first a steppe residence of the Turkish rulers from the Karakhanid dynasty. From the 12th to the 18th century it was used as a caravanserai, only an entrance portal remained.

Malik Sardoba is a well or cistern that served to supply water to the Raboti Malik caravanserai, which was founded as a fortress.
The Sarboba was supplied by an underground canal. A staircase led down to the water level. The complex is covered with a stupa-like stepped dome.
