    Landevejscykling

A tough climb from Dent, heading south, at an average of 10% for 1.3 miles. Probably peaks in excess of 25%. There are a couple of gates which might need to be opened en-route. For fit cyclists or you might find yourself walking. The climb leads to a long descent through Kingsdale, so worth the effort.

    Landevejscykling

The road from Dent is quite poor in places, with big pot holes and lots of gravel. Okay if you're travelling South, as it's a steady climb to the the start of the main climb, but potentially dangerous if heading North as it's downhill all the way into Dent. The two gates on the steepest part of the climb are a real pain, as it can be hard to clip in quickly enough to get going. Either set off across the slope, or hang on to the gate to clip in.
