The route passes by the shore of the lagoon and continues straight ahead towards the cliffs of Peña Negra. The path is marked with stone milestones, reaches a col in the crest of the mountain and continues to the left to reach the highest point of the mountain. The final section is steep, you have to jump from stone to stone along the ridge but it is very easy. At the top there is no sculpture or human creation that proves the summit, there is simply no taller stone around.
