The "voltes" of Peratallada are covered galleries that form a kind of corridor on the ground floor of the buildings. Its original function was to provide shade and protection from the rain for merchants and passersby passing through the streets of the town.

Today, the porches of Peratallada are a popular tourist attraction and an important part of the town's architectural heritage. Walking around the "voltes" is a pleasant way to enjoy the medieval atmosphere of Peratallada and admire its beautiful architecture.
