Mountainbiking

The mausoleum stands near Heidersdorfer Strasse about one kilometer southeast of the estate Niederbarkhausen, the ancestral home of the Tenge family and the former owner Meier zu Barkhausen and the family Barkhausen. It was built in 1863 in the form of a Doric temple. At the beginning of the 20th century, the building was given a lower lobby with large windows and stone caryatids. In the enclosed area behind the mausoleum are numerous tombs of the Tenge-Rietberg family, decorated with sculptures and steles.

Vandring

The mausoleum is not far from the Niederbarkhausen estate. It is the family crypt of the Tenge family and is of classicist beauty. The complex can only be viewed from the outside but is still worth seeing.
