The Weimar National Assembly met here in the DNT from February 6, 1919 to May 21, 1920. The officially constituent German National Assembly was the constituent parliament of the Weimar Republic. Until September 1919, the conference venue was Weimar, not the politically heated capital of the Reich, Berlin.

The German National Theater and the Staatskapelle Weimar (short DNT) is the most important stage company of Weimar. The institution unites the music theater and the speech theater Deutsches Nationaltheater as well as the orchestra Staatskapelle Weimar. A total of six stages will be played throughout the city. All sections of the theater and the orchestra also give irregular guest appearances and also have appearances in the electronic media (Wikipedia).
