Cykling

The Formartine & Buchan Way is a long-distance multiuser trail from Dyce in the south to Fraserbourgh. It follows the course of an old railway line, so the trail is fairly flat and great for bikes. This section near the northern end of the trail crosses the Water of Philorth on a small bridge. The mouth of this river is a nature reserve with dune ecosystems and marshes inland, it's an important habitat for land animals and sea birds.
