On the banks of the Rance, in the Saint-Servan district, the beach and the small bars and bistros on the Quai Solidor offer a nice contrast to the often hectic activity in the old town of Saint-Malo. And if you like, you can trace the beginnings of the city: Saint-Servan stands on the remains of the ancient Gallo-Roman settlement Aleth at the mouth of the Rance.
