For several years, the panorama of Krościenko has been dominated by a new parish church which bears the call of Christ the Good Shepherd. The author of the church design is mgr. Eng. Antoni Mazur from Krakow. Construction plans were developed by Eng. Bronislaw Sokał from Nowy Sącz. On November 30, 1979, the Diocesan Curia in Tarnów included the construction of a new parish church in Krościenko nad Dunajcem in the sacral building plans for 1980. Due to the lack of permission from the then authorities, the construction of the temple began only on August 9, 1982. (...).
