Porzuna was a Roman and Visigoth settlement, and it is from these civilizations that historical remains have been found. The first settlers of the region are probably from the Lower and Middle Paleolithic according to the archaeological remains found. Most of these can be found in the Ciudad Real museum.

Of great interest is its parish church, in the urban nucleus, Gothic, with a rectangular plan, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1993.
There are also several hermitages, the Hermitage of San Isidro, the Hermitage of the Cruz de Mayo, the Hermitage of Cristo de Veracruz located in an old volcano and the Hermitage of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
